Du musst das Programm ja nicht öffnen.
Einfach auf die .Rar Datei Links anklicken und auf Entpacken drücken.

Entweder entpackst du es direkt
oder öffnest es klickst diese nervige "Diese Version ist nicht lizensiert" oder was da auch immer kommt weg und ziehst die inhalte auf deinen desktop / ordner wo auch immer.
WinRAR kostet indirekt.
Man kann WinRAR lebenslänglich kostenlos nutzen, dafür bekommt man aber ständige Popups und Hinweise.
.rar Dateien kannst du wiegesagt am besten mit WinRAR entpacken.
Ich empfehle dir sowieso, WinRAR zu benutzen, da WinRAR m.M.n. die meisten Dateiformate unterstützt; mit WinRAR kannst du sogar .jar (JAVA) Dateien öffnen
Ansonsten geht 7zip welches ich auch nutze ohne Probleme dazu nehmen wie scotty schon sagt
einfach rechtsklick auf dein Archiev und da is dann irgendwo im Kontextmenü "7zip" dort kannst du dann auswählen "extrahieren nach ..." oder "hier extrahieren"
