mh also es kommt wohl darauf an was für wallpaper du erstellen möchtest. pauschalisieren kann man da schlecht.
es gibt minimalistische arbeiten oder reine vektorworks wo man keine effeke braucht, spaceart wo du die effekte selber zeichnest und so weiter...
ich halte es für dilletantisch mit effekten um sich zu schmeissen - man sollte sie nur für minimale änderungen verwenden. aber das ist meine meinung

dann baue ich das grundgerüst mit vektorshapes (p) oder male es einfach...
dann gucke ich ob mir der bildaufbau gefällt. wenn ja beginne ich mit schatten und lichtern (bei naturalistischen arbeiten) oder ich behebe fehler.
dann kommt der rest - passe die kontrastierung und kurven, die farbwerte und belichtung an und dann bin ich meist fertig.
das problem ist halt echt, dass man dazu nichts sagen kann, wenn du nicht weißt WAS du eigentlich machen möchtest und wie es aussehen soll.

probiers doch einfach aus. du merkst schnell wo deine grenzen liegen - aber das darf dich dann nicht entmutigen sondern eher ans.... geben.
